Thank you for your continued dedication to your constituency - especially, the “little guy”. I don’t know much about professional sports but your attention to recent video coverage lends me to believe that you are keenly interested in the workings of big business and its affect on American citizens.
With the Super Bowl over, would there be time and resources available to investigate where all the money is going in our health care system?
At a recent visit, my health care provider and I were trying to understand why my insurance premiums have continued to get higher, his medical malpractice premiums are still increasing(despite the reductions in number of lawsuits filed as well as the amount of awards), and his reimbursement rates have just dropped again!
As you are aware, the presidential campaign may hinge largely on the health care issue - its accessibility and quality. With countless lives being lost needlessly and the profession’s livelihood in turmoil, would you have time in your elected position as the Chair of our Senate Judiciary Committe to investigate where/how the money in the insurance industry is being used?
Surely, health care is as relevant as professional football.
Thanks for all you do.
Take gentle care of you,
Mary Ellen Mannix
